Description
The Peaberry, also known as the caracoli, is a very specific type of bean. Most coffee “cherries” contain two seeds, and they each develop a flat side, but sometimes only one of the two seeds gets fertilized creating a round bean. This pea-shaped bean is known as a peaberry. This coffee originates from the Central/East African family that offers bright acidity and is aggressively flavorful. The “Peaberries” are hand sorted and sold separately. This organic, fair trade coffee comes from the Lintong region of Sumatra and is specialty wet hulled. It boasts a clean, full body with tasting notes of lemon, tobacco, and cedar.
